Cantate Domino canticum novum.
Sing unto the Lord and praise his Name : be telling of his
Salvation from day to day.
Cantate Domino canticum novum.
Declare his honour unto the heathen: and his wonders unto
All people.

For the Lord is great, and cannot worthily be praised: he is
More to be feared than all gods.
As for all the gots of the heathen, they are but idols: but
It is the Lord that made the heavens.
Glory and worship are before him: power and honour are in
His sanctuary.
Ascribe unto the Lord the honour due unto his Name: bring
Presents, and come into his courts.
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: let the whole
Earth stand in awe of him.
Let the heav´ns rejoice, and let the earth be glad: for he
Commeth to judge the earth.

La liturgie n'est pas l'unique activité de l’Église.

SC 9. La liturgie ne remplit pas toute l'activité de l'Église ; car, avant que les hommes puissent accéder à la liturgie, il est nécessaire qu'ils soient appelés à la foi et à la conversion : « Comment l’invoqueront-ils s'ils ne croient pas en Lui ? Comment croiront-ils en Lui s'ils ne L'entendent pas ? Comment entendront-ils sans prédicateurs ? Et comment prêchera-t-on sans être envoyé ? » (Rom. 10, 14-15).
C'est pourquoi l'Église annonce aux non-croyants la proclamation du salut, pour que tous les hommes connaissent le seul vrai Dieu et celui qu'il a envoyé, Jésus-Christ, et pour qu'ils changent de conduite en faisant pénitence. Quant aux croyants, [...]
